Dental hygienists
are a community of professionals devoted to the prevention of oral disease and the promotion
and improvement of the public's health. Dental hygienists are preventive oral health
professionals who provide educational, clinical, and therapeutic services to the
public.
As a healthcare professional, a dental
hygienist is called on to know a wide range of information related to patient health and
disease. These links and the information they discuss only begin to show the range needed
as a dental professional working in patient care!

Board Review by using a Coloring
Book of Dental Anatomy
Coloring
is being used in formal therapeutic settings such as eye-hand coordination
development and to help heal victims of trauma. Studies also show
that coloring can reduce stress. Regardless of your needs, there is so
much to be gained by spending some time coloring. Choosing your colors and
the gentle, repetitive motion of your hand as you bring color to paper
helps quiet your mind--bringing your usual rapid-fire thoughts down to a
much slower pace. So take a break from your studies and find your creative
center!
"I LOVE the dental anatomy coloring book
you designed!! I wish I had something like this when I was in DH
school. The pictures and the quality of the pages is fantastic. It
is a great and relaxing way for students to learn the anatomy!"
Tooth Drawings Up On Internet???
Would it not be great to have your tooth drawings up on the Evolve site
for
Illustrated Dental Embryology, Histology, and Anatomy
(Saunders/Elsevier)?
They must be a copy of original work, must use the Workbook that
accompanies the textbook, and have a note saying that they can go up on
the website sent along with the drawing. Do not send the original but sign
them really large so we can see who the artist is and from what school
they are attending!!! Send
them by regular mail, or fax, or send a jpg by email
after scanning them to:
